"The food is excellent, with good portions and great taste. Their roast beef is so tender and flavorful, and the bread is fresh!! And, the owner is a wonderful, welcoming person, with personality that makes you glad that you chose his establishment. The whole restaurant is bright, very clean, and well laid out, which helps encourage your appetite, and conversation. There is ample, free, lot parking, right by the entrance. If you don't go to Southwest, you are missing a great experience."

"The sandwich was delicious and the owner was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. My best friend gave me a list of deli's to try in St Louis as a Christmas gift. Southwest market was the first one we tried and the bar was set very high. I chose the select 4 with roast beef, ham, turkey and cheddar. The sandwich came heated as requested. The price was great for the sandwich and I was very pleased with my first St. Louis deli experience. We will definitely be back."
