McAlister's Deli

"We first discovered McAlister’s back in 2009 when we moved to the area. We loved the food and the place was clean. Since then and especially since the pandemic, the quality of the food, the service, and the atmosphere have majorly gone down hill. The place is always dirty both tables and the floor. So nasty. The potatoes have only gotten smaller through the years and several of the other menu items including their soups, salads, and sandwiches just are not tasty or good quality anymore. Staff in recent visits have been strange to say the least."

"I stopped going to McAlisters several years ago, but went back again recently. The first return visit was awesome! The next several visits were not so good. Upon this visit I stood at the counter for 1-1/2 minutes waiting for the counter girl to turn around and acknowledge me. (no one else near me) She felt it more important to talk to her friends through the window to the back I guess. When she eventually turned around, I gave her my order, and asked if she could apply my AARP discount. She had no idea what that was, and asked one her friends in the back, who replied "that is only for online orders". I called McAlisters corporate office to mention the recent problems, but the only interest they had was in acknowledging the AARP discount for counter or online service. I do not order online to go, or at the table, as they charge 2% extra for using that service, the service they provide. No other restaurant I know of charges these fees. We frequent Chic Fil A many times because we can sit at a table and order."

"Reason for the four stars on atmosphere: temp is way too cold inside!! Food was good. Price was ok. Service was good. It appears clean. I'll go back but sitting outside, So, in the winter I'll be wearing winter clothes to sit inside. I ordered a Rubin plus extra sauerkraut. Guess he misunderstood me, as no kraut was on my sandwich. Next time, I'll check and question the server."

"We loooove the food. It's so good, so fast, and reasonably priced. The service is fast. We have tried several sandwiches and salads, I've not found any We dint like yet. Even their teas are fresh and good. Desserts are good, cookies great. The place is very clean, even the bathrooms. I really like theire clubs and chicken salads. Portions are huge so I like doing the hard sandwiche, half salad combo."

"I had never been to this location before and had a very pleasurable experience. The friendly cashier we had was very informative and knowledgeable. The menu choices were varied and included several items that picky eaters like me could still choose. Our food arrived fairly quickly, by another friendly staff member. Everything that was supposed to be hot was hot; all of our selections tasted great! My wife opted for the pick 2 combo of soup and baked potato - her chili was super yummy. I went with the pick 2 as well - spicy turkey sandwich and chicken n dumplings. Incredible! I was not much of a McAllister’s fan before but my mind has been changed. :)"
