Sonic Drive-In

"I pressed the red button, and the screen said the red button has been activated, we will be with you shortly. I waited 10 minutes and watched many other cars come and go. I got out of my car and went inside and stood there until somebody noticed me and asked what I needed. I asked if anybody was going to take my order, that I had been waiting 10 minutes. A couple of minutes later, somebody came out to my car and took my order. I guess the screen and speaker system never did work. Then, they overcharged me by $4 and had to get the manager to refund my credit card. That took another 10 minutes. They really need to get their act together. I highly suggest going through the drive-thru so they can not ignore you. Update: After I got home, I looked at the receipt, and they screwed up the refund! I got double-charged! I'll be contacting the manager to get a full refund and following through on the company's response to my review..."

"Overall a good location but they have 3 stalls that don't work. Normally that's not a problem, stuff breaks, it happens. But they marked them as out of order with a sign you can't see until you pull in! So you have to pull in, feel stupid for trying to use a broken stall, then do the back out of shame to go to another stall. And when they're busy and the only 3 stalls available are the broken ones you feel extra dumb doing it 3 times. Just either block the lanes entirely or post the sign in a more visible spot, please."

"UPDATE: Whoever monitors this for Sonic replied that I should contact them, so that someone can reach out to me. That is nice. But you'll notice in my review that I've already done that. Nothing happened. Do Not Eat Here. I will personally be offended when you patronize this fast-food restaurant that treated me like a criminal after their mistake damaged my vehicle. This used to be, hands down, the best Sonic in Springfield. But, due to an incident I had to escalate to corporate, it is no longer exceptional. When things are running smoothly, they're nice. But when they make a mistake which causes a real problem, and you complain, all courtesy goes away. I am not a young person. I went to my first Sonic nearly 50 years ago, and have been hooked since. But this is the first time I called corporate about any store. The service and treatment I received was that poor. Don't go here. There are plenty of good fast-food restaurants nearby. There is another Sonic close to my work where I have lunch at least twice a week. If I find it's the same franchisee, or both are corporate stores, I guess I'll avoid it, too. But I will miss my tator tots. When I called corporate, I was assured somebody would be in touch with me within a few days. They lied. So I will not patronize Sonic on the road, either, though it was my #1 choice when travelling."

"We recently went here and just didn't have a great experience. My husband ordered a coney and it was flipped upside down when we opened the bag. My burger was good but all our tots were cold. We were holing it was just a one time thing and went back for breakfast a couple weeks later and half the stalls were broken which made it annoying trying to just get parked to order and then it happened again... we got home and half the food was warm and the rest was cold."

"Sonic is a nostalgic, simple, American fast food experience. With a large variety and unique options for a typical fast food restaurant. Overall, the food is average but average isn't always bad. The cheese curds and tater tots are great! Their ice is perfect, and the drink menu has something for everyone. Sonic's own ranch is odd, but pairs well with the curds. The chicken and burgers arnt anything special or inventive, but a solid, fast, and affordable meal. I highly recommend the breakfast burritos and pork sandwich. The mints with each meal are an excellent touch."
