"I never thought I’d rather have dining hall food from college but this place pleasantly surprised me. I never am bothered enough to write a review but my food was horrible. The turkey burger was hardly seasoned and they just threw a not ripe uncut half of an avocado on top and called it a day.i was hoping the fries would be good but they were soft and cold."

"Atmosphere was awesome, service not. Would not pre bus table and my daughter’s food was forgotten and came later, as well as our added side. My husband’s burger had only a few fried onions on top. My niece had 3 empty cups in front of her. Party of 7 and a toddler. Would have never complained and still left a 25% tip bc we are a family of service industry people and understand. However, the auto gratuity at the end was incredibly offensive after the service and stereotyping we received."

"Great service and AWESOME FOOD! We got a burger, turkey club and their spinach queso wrap. Everyone was happy with their meals and price was fair. We also had an order of fried pickles which were sooo good. Great mix of people- college age, elderly and families. Visit here you won’t regret!"

"I’ve been a big fan Big Whiskey (downtown Springfield) since it opened. My office is just around the corner and honestly I used to eat lunch there 3 or 4 times a week, but something has happened at the downtown location. A lot of the old crew is gone and the new folks are nice but seem to need leadership. Even when they’re not busy you can wait 10 minutes to get someone to take your order. On a recent visit (Sept 21, 2023) total wait time from seating to food arrival was 48 minutes and there were only about 5 tables with guests. When food arrived some food had obviously been under a heat lap for an extended period of time. Sadly, Big Whiskey has become our last choice downtown. It has been going downhill and there seems to be no rebound coming."

"Glad we went with here for our first Vaca dinner spot. Hardly any people but the staff was so friendly and made our experience a good one. Food was amazing. Hands down the best ribs we have ever had. Half a slab would of been plenty for one person! Big and meaty, along with perfectly cooked seasoned fries. The Big Whiskey BBQ Burger was fresh and lean. Would definitely come back!"
