"Steak was good, but it wasn’t too hot, just warm ,starting to get cold…"

"Stopped in at 6PM on a Thursday. Not super hungry and I didn’t want to eat in the restaurant so I placed a to go order. I was greeted immediately and I asked for the soup of the day. Options were chili and beef stew. I went with the stew. I was also offered a grilled cheese sandwich and I also took that. Waited about 10 minutes and my to go order was bagged and I paid and left. There were about five or six people who were being waited on and there was a second server. Restaurant claims to be the second oldest truck stop in the USA. Opened in 1930. Lots of room for all vehicles to park. Stew was super hot and a good serving. At least 20oz. Dinner roll with butter, crackers, plastic fork knife and spoon with extra napkins. Per the menu, while I was waiting, the stew is seasonal. It was delicious! A hearty stew made from scratch. Plenty of carrots, potatoes, sliced tomatoes, green beans and the broth was not to thick but hearty and very flavorful. The chuck roast was tender and melted in my mouth. The stew was seasoned really well I think. Simple flavors and the bay leaf seasoning comes thru and I like that. Service with a smile and speedy! I didn’t have much time this go around but if I’m near enough again I’ll be coming thru to try another meal here again. You all earned the five stars from me."

"Very friendly atmosphere. Server was great! Food was amazing, something for everyone really. Steaks, seafood, sandwiches and a comfort food flair! I am out of state so took a chance and was well rewarded! Don't pass by this place, stop and eat!"

"Awesome experience, we stopped here on a trip from St Louis to Little Rock. Food was outstanding and had the biggest portions we've ever seen. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to stop for lunch."

"I stop here every time I am through this area. I have actually been stopping at this place for decades through a few different owners. The food at the Longhorn Grill is very good. I have eaten many different meals at different times of the days. I have not had any that I felt were lacking. The taste and presentation was always very good. The quantities are more than most restaurants give. The service is always good. Not elegant fine dining but truly a good place to stop for a meal of comfort food. If you are traveling down this stretch of road, don't be afraid to stop for a meal. Good place, good prices and excellent service."
