Dickey's Barbecue Pit

"Dickeys Bbq does good job of affordable comfort bbq food. Every thing is good, brisket, sausage, fries are a fav, with assortment of sauces. Order at counter is very transactional, not quite fast food but you don't see the prep at counter, maybe help to visually see the meat prep for more inviting feel when you enter (as you eat with your eyes first!!). After prep you take your food on a tray to your table. Worker asked for tip at register was awkward for the wife, I didn't care. Decor is bbq rustic but dated. Has a feel that it had its heyday 10 years ago. Needs some personality but it could be last bbq standing in Nixa."

"*** Update 11/28/2023: I reached our to "Cameron" with Dickey's as requested. Stonewalled, no reply. Not surprised in the least. Dickey's BBQ in Nixa, MO reached the number of free passes I've given them tonight. I have a fam-member who hasn't been feeling well, said all he thought he could eat was a baked potato. Ordered that online w/ Dickey's tonight, went in to pick-up and was told "we're out of bakers". I asked why no one called to let me know? Response was "I thought this was a Door Dash order". What??? I'll be sure to never order Dickey's from Door Dash, they must not get notified if their ordered-items are out either. The store substituted a "local flavor" salad which was full of brown lettuce, including a browning salad-core, that looked about 1-day from turning bad (salad went into trash can). I'd estimate that 85% of the time we've ordered from this store, they are "out of bakers". For over $41.00 and this experience, we won't be back."

"1st review: Excellent food, excellent service, absolutely LOVE the "Mac Stack!" The Nixa location rocks! 2nd review, 10/25/23: we realized that the man who WAS working at the Nixa location was the reason we kept driving to Nixa for Dickies. I chose Dickies in Nixa for my birthday dinner with friends. Last night, there was no friendliness, no personality. When asked if they do anything for birthdays, I was told, "I don't know." Nothing else. Personality of a baked potato. No one checked on us or spoke to us after they took our money and handed us our food. They were NOT busy. Food was good. Suggestion for corporate: make some special deals for returning customers. We are a family of 2. We already have 3 Big Yellow Cups. All of the deals you send to me include having to buy more big yellow cups. Not nearly as happy as I was the last time I went to Dickies."

"Wonderful service from everyone there! They took the time to explain the flavors and types of meats available, and even offered samples to help make the best choice. Full of patience and kindness, and you can really tell they care about serving up the best food and experience."
