"The reason for two stars was their customer service. My husband and I decided to dine in while visiting the aquarium attraction. The drinks were okay, mediocre for the price. My Pina colada was watery, and my husband wasn’t a fan of his Old Fashioned. My salad was the only decent thing we ate here. My husband ordered a medium-rare steak, and was served a raw steak that was seared on the outside. My husband isn’t typically confrontational and will eat whatever. He was going to try and eat it and told the server not to worry about it so we didn’t have to send the food back. He took a few bites and said not only was it cold in the middle, but was genuinely raw (picture for reference). Our server took it back and they cooked it longer, brought it back out and again it’s raw, just a little more blackened on the outside. The third time we sent it back (which we NEVER do), it was so tough my husband could not hardly cut into it. At this point, my husband who rarely complains, says it’s fine and not to worry about it when the server asked if they could get us an entirely new steak. We politely declined. I got the shrimp bonetti. The shrimp tasted like the smell of the aquarium we just left, extremely fishy and gummy. Odd color, I didn’t even try the pasta. They comped both meals and apologized profusely. Customer service was great but the food was not. We are not from here so will not be back and do not recommend. We left disappointed, and my husband with a stomach ache."

"If you don't look up, you'll miss it. The restaurant is on the third floor of Bass Pro Shops Springfield flagship store. It was early, so we ordered burgers, (bacon and bleu cheese) with fries. We were a bit early for made to order which starts at 11:00am on Saturdays, but the waitress was very nice and seated us quickly providing coffee and letting us peruse the menu. The burgers were huge at least a 1/3 pound patty and cooked to order (medium for us) they had a great flavor and bite. The fries were 1st rate as well, crisp and fresh out of the fryer hot. The wait staff was in it from beginning to end, making sure our coffees were filled. Professional and unobtrusive. The surroundings were turn off the century sheik. The bar wall was a large aquarium. And hunting/ fishing trophies lined the other walls. To the back of us were wall to wall windows looking down on the store. A very interesting and eye-catching place for a meal. Afterwards, we strolled through the archery and gun museums which were both amazing places one does not expect to find in a sporting goods store."

"I was pleasantly surprised. Last time we ate here, the food wasn't that great, but today everything was good. We started with a calamari appetizer, which was good but a little gummy. My husband had fish and chips, one s I n had catfish and the other had bison country fried steak, I myself had a bowl of clam chowder all really good, generous portions. I did have a $4 charge on the bill for 2 tartar sauces? Weird, nobody even uses the tartar sauce, but whatever. I would definitely go back."

"AMAZING doesn't even begin to describe our experience at Hemingway's restaurant! From start to finish, it was an absolute delight that left us in awe of the exceptional food, top-notch staff, and captivating atmosphere. Located within the BASS PRO SHOPS World Headquarters in Springfield, MO, Hemingway's is a true culinary gem. Even if you're not planning on shopping in the BPS store, I cannot stress enough how worthwhile it is to stop in just for the dining experience alone. The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance that immediately set the tone for a fantastic meal. The attention to detail and the professional service of the staff made us feel like true VIPs. Now, let's talk about the food – oh my goodness! Every dish we tried was a masterpiece in its own right. The flavors, presentation, and quality were simply outstanding. Whether you're a seafood lover, a steak aficionado, or have a craving for something unique and delicious, Hemingway's has got you covered. The restaurant has undoubtedly mastered the art of creating a perfect dining experience. From the attentive servers to the mouthwatering dishes, every element was carefully crafted to perfection. We highly recommend Hemingway's with 5 stars all around! If you're in Springfield or passing through, don't miss the chance for this wonderful dining experience. Kudos to Hemingway's for delivering a top-tier dining experience."

"This place is a fun restaurant right inside Bass Pro! It’s on the top floor in case you can’t find it! The kids meals don’t offer a seafood option which was the only complaint from my kids who love seafood. I got the bison burger which was actually really good! Very good toppings and cooked exactly how I asked. My daughter got the calamari appetizer instead of a kids meal and she loved it. My other daughter got the mac n cheese kids meal. I also had the spicy pineapple margarita and it’s very good, but not spicy. The ambience is really fun here and nice to eat instead of leaving the shop. It’s fairly high priced though so if you have a big family this might be an expensive meal."
