"We've not had the opportunity to get away since the Covid outbreak, so we went to Big Cedar Lodge for 2 days. We are at the Devil's Pool restaurant and enjoyed incredible food and service. The atmosphere is a luxurious and comfortable. Over a couple of days we ate two dinners and one breakfast. A different take on a fish sandwich that had jalapeno coleslaw on the fish sandwich. Salmon and risotto. Baby back ribs with Parmesan fries and a jalapeno slaw. Both nights we had the cheesecake which was incredible on its own right. The breakfast was omelette and hash browns and chicken biscuits and gravy with pancakes. I know this all sort of sounds like food you get anywhere but believe me it is not "anywhere type food". The service was outstanding and believe me when I say that they go above and beyond in service I mean just that. Above and beyond."
"The breakfast here is the best if you’re at Big Cedar lodge. The bacon is AMAZING, pancakes and waffles are also pretty good. This place is a must go to if you want breakfast while at Big Cedar Lodge. Servings were pretty big in size, but we still managed to finish it all."
"Beautiful restaurant, nice folks serving, but the food quality is just not at the price point. It's pretty disappointing. We ate right at 11am, and the brisket on the poutine was, ehh, almost like leftovers, or they ordered in pre-cooked."
"Outstanding food with lots of flavor. Potato soup was a big hit. Rainbow trout was flavorful and came on a bed of rice. The crispy wafers with various everything spices and seeds were very popular. Prices were reasonable. This was the original home of the founder of BassPro. Loved the ambience of the old original building. Made for a more relaxed meal."
"Really had to push to get a table as the hostess was not very helpful. Once seated everything went well. Good for and service was really good. Interesting ambiance and everything was clean. Would recommend."
