"I only gave 1 star because I had to rate the service. Horrible horrible customer service. I called prior to coming in and the lady at the counter was super nice. Once I got there i told her I called earlier to see if they could fix my zipper on my jumpsuit. Long story short she said the zipper didn’t need to be fixed but there was a hole in it. Then she proceeded to say you cannot wear this it’s too small. I explained to her I bought it last yr and it ripped I had lost weight since then and I was sure I could fit it. She giggled and continued to tell me I could not fit it that it was too tiny. She said “sometimes these companies say something is one size when it’s not.” So what do you want me to do?” I told her I wanted her to fix the hole but she pissed me off so bad I walked out. I don’t know what it is but this place among many others in Joplin have horrible customer service. This is crazy! Birthday is on the 24th and all she had to do was fix it and get paid"

"I want to preface this by explaining that in the past, by experience with Adornable has been 4-5 stars. I’ve gone and had a few pants hemmed by them, and the work has held up for over a year. The stitching and alterations they do are quality work. However, recently I had a disappointing interaction with the staff of Adornable. A few days ago, my boyfriend called them on behalf of me to ask about getting measurements for a dress. He was very clear: I was wanting ONLY measurements, no alterations. The woman on the phone repeated: I was ONLY asking for measurements. The woman told my boyfriend that it would cost $20 to get measurements, and that measurements could be walk-ins, rather than scheduling an appointment. However, when I came in to get measurements, I was immediately told, before I could clarify the information I was given, that they do NOT do measurements. I was told, essentially, “If the dress you order comes back wrong, you’ll come back and blame me.” While I understand and do not fault that policy, that is just quite literally the opposite of what was said over the phone. I drove an hour to come to Adornable, since I trust their work. My plan had been to come back to them if the dress I ordered hadn’t fit right, giving them both measurement money and possibly alteration money if my situation demanded it. I am very confused how one individual can give a price and a walk-in policy, but then another individual quickly turns me away and says that measurements are simply not done. The communication inconsistency really needs to be addressed. If I had known the actual policy, I obviously would not have taken the hour-long trip down and found another way to get the measurements I needed."
