"Picked up 5 pizzas and 3 salads for a family event. Everytime I eat their pizza, I love the thin crust spicy chicken, I can't think of a better pizza in town. They are usually busy but always friendly and I always feel welcome. Little known secret possibly, is the cake of the week. It's also quite possibly the best in town."

"I first patronized Garbo's about 32 years ago, but my life got busy, and the establishment relocated, putting it beyond my box. My wife and I stopped in again the other afternoon after our long absence. We each ordered a small side salad, and we shared a thin crust, spicy chicken pizza. Here's the good and the bad: The decor hasn't changed in 30 years and was dated, worn, and dirty. The high- table chairs were wobbly and rickety. A painful collapse seemed imminent, and relaxing was not a viable option as I remained vigilant preparing for a chair failure. The service was painfully inadequate, with the waitress appearing to be serving double duty in the kitchen and the front of the house. Overall, the restaurant was short staffed, and service was accordingly effected. The salads arrived, and while excessively comprised of chopped iceberg lettuce, the dressing was exceptionally tasty with hints of olive oil, anchovies, and vinegar. The pizza arrived, and while it looked appetizing, the thin crust was disappointing as it was largely soggy instead of crisp and crackery (like the superior Pizza House on Commercial Street). The spicy marinated chicken had a strong taste of vinegar (which overpowered what should have been the complementary flavors of cheese, peppers, and tomato). Room for improvement here for sure. I'm not certain if my tastes have improved, declined, or just changed, but Garbo's failed to hit the same gastronomic oxytocin sites that it did 30 years ago."

"Excellent local food joint with great micro brew beer line in bottles and on tap. They have a nice wine list as well. The pizza is fantastic thin crust and can be multiple combinations. They are famous for their small house salad (Huge portion that feeds 2) and for their Pizza. The servers are always super friendly and the food is made to order, not frozen junk. They even treat their customers special on holidays. We got a free flower and chocolate for Valentines day from the server when we paid our check. A+++++ Local Eatery!"

"Visiting from out of town and my in-laws brought us here for dinner. What a great treat. We had the toasted ravioli and two pizzas. Everything was wonderful!! Sad we only get to eat here once while visiting but it will definitely be a place we will come back to when we visit again!!"
