ZINC Coffee

"I’m writing this review in lieu of the current news. I rated Zinc for 5 starts bc of the wonderful, hardworking people who made this place what it was. Zinc brought a lot to Joplin. It was great to see a place like this bring so much of the community together which is hard to do in Joplin. This was the place that helped me launch my business. I am disappointed to learn that Zinc is closing. I’m also disappointed at the approach the owners took to disclose such information. Not only are they taking away a grand spot where many memories have been made, the way they approached it was not tactful at all. I understand priorities change, however the individuals who ran Zinc day to day deserve better. I’m writing this here bc comments on their Facebook post were deleted or limited. I’d hope accountability is taken and apologies are made mainly to staff. To only give the wonderful faces who made Zinc, Zinc an hour’s notice and less than a month is unprofessional and disheartening."

"Love this place. Wish I could transport it to where we live. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Their pastries options are great. Coffee was really good. Unexpected for the size town it is. Tons of meeting space and corners to find some area to work."

"I am super weird whenever it comes to coffee. Most coffee ends up hurting my stomach. This coffee DID NOT. I am in love. My friend took me here for the very first time the other day, and I absolutely loved it. This coffee is delicious!! The staff in the front were able to carry on a good conversation while preparing as well. The glass cups they use, I had to google search and order some of my own. I love the barrel looking glasses. This place is also very clean and welcoming. I highly recommend checking them out."

"Stunning third wave coffee shop! Aesthetics are perfect, location is excellent. Coffee was superb. I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars! We had the Kenya pourover and a couple of summer seasonal drinks as well. They definitely have other drinks if you prefer your coffee with milk & sugar but the black pour over is perfect and I highly recommend you stop here if you love coffee!"

"Charming coffee shop in downtown Joplin, serving a variety of coffees, hot teas, smoothies, hot chocolate and locally made bakery treats. Inside I love the painted brick walls, exposed beams and large windows that let in lots of light. Zinc Coffee is a wonderful place to meet a friend for a chat over coffee or hot tea. Or bring a laptop and work in an upbeat, inviting atmosphere."
