"I visit for an exam and cleaning as covered by insurance. Delta Dental PPO. I'm told I need a deep cleaning at $350+ with lasers. Seriously?? Well, let's please do what's covered by insurance and I can schedule that for later date. They refuse regular cleaning saying "it won't do you any good anyway". The Dr. Then says insurance wouldn't cover regular cleaning if you need more. Further they would send me a bill for $800 when it's declined because I didn't do what was recommended. Then says "it's been two years since you've had your teeth cleened, you've missed 5 cleanings and you want us to catch you up for no charge?? No, it doesn't work that way". They refuse exam and cleaning as covered by insurance, instead bait and switch unless you pay the extra money. Delta Dental stated of course they would pay for the annual exam and cleaning regardless if I opted for additional services. Insurance company is submitting grievance on my behalf."
