"I'm a 23 year Naval (Seabee) Veteran and had a referral sent from the VA on 07 January 2022.OPTUM sent the referral on 3 occasions 3 weeks apart and was told their was no record of a referral from OPTUM On 23 March (10 WEEKS LATER MIND YOU).I finally received a call stating my appointment was on 31 March.In the meantime I suffered and wound up going to the ER to have it corrected.Its quite clear that either they don't need the business or just DON'T CARE...HORRIBLE Customer Service! I have pled and reminded OPTUM that Coast Urology should be stricken from referrals to our current Veterans and future Veterans!An absolute HORROR story...NOT Recommended.... ***Spoke with the Memorial Patient Advocate 3-4 weeks later about my concern and still have not received a reply. from Coast Urology nor the Patient Advocate.Once again this just shows how sorry these people are..."

"Dr. Guy Shoaf is a new and great addition to the Memorial Urology Group. My first appointment with Dr. Shoaf was on a Thursday afternoon. He diagnosed my problem quickly and scheduled me for a procedure at Memorial Hospital the following Monday. In less than four days, my problems were solved and I was on the road to recovery. The office staff and nurses at Memorial Urology were friendly and professional. My wait time at the office was minimal and I was seen promptly at my appointment time. In subsequent follow-up appointments, Dr. Shoaf offered me helpful recommendations of things I could do to optimize my urological health. "In agony with a kidney stone and discharged from ER, my husband called the Urology Clinic as a new patient. Sierra took our call, and he was scheduled in the following day. Within 24 hours he had a stent inserted into the kidney and home pain free. Dr. Weeks was excellent, Taylor, NPractitioner was really friendly and talked us through the procedure in a professional manner. Shadel was efficient and friendly booking him in and overall, under the circumstances, it was a completely pleasant experience from beginning to end. Highly recommend this clinic."

"Dr. Jacob Jorns has the most respect I've seen and had the pleasure of experiencing in many years here in Mississippi! He is a blessing the coast has needed since Katrina! He treats his patients like family. I was in shock when once again my husband had to be taken to Memorial ER after a procedure that was done on Aug 2nd, he was admitted and within minutes one of our cell phones rang and it was Dr Jorns with all the answers to any questions we may have had and full explanation of why we ended up at the hospital and assured me he already had my husband scheduled first thing in the AM to make sure our 10 year Anniversary Cruise WOULD be on schedule as planned!!!"

"Wow! I cant believe some of these reviews. In my experience this practice has some of the most caring and knowledgeable physicians and staff. They truly put their patients first regardless of the situation and going above and beyond the urology aspect to treat the person as a whole and address ALL of their needs. Its hard to take someone seriously with such poor grammar and/or typing skills. Obviously ANNIE, you did not listen to your doctor when your condition was discussed. Physicians do not tell ANYONE they have a "Dead Kidney." That terminology is not used and it is not accurate unless you are on dialysis. So if you are concerned about your "dead kidney" and it is causing you so much hardship, you should seek the advice of a Nephrologist and consider dialysis as a treatment option. Ignorance is the root cause of most of the world's problems and this is just one more example."
