Jerry's Catfish House

"Went on a Saturday night, so they were a little busy understandably so. Although, the blonde hair shorter lady seating people was rude and would likely be best utilized elsewhere in the establishment. We had our elderly grandmother with us, a group of 4. We had been waiting for about 15 minutes in a line at this point and were finally the next ones to be seated. A group of 5 was behind us that came in several minutes after us, and once the bus boy SLOWLY bussed off the table she sat the party of 5 before us. Without ever mentioning a wait time so that we could have my grandmother sit down or anything. Then when I said something about it, she proceeded to have an attitude that they have seats for that case. Well had she properly advised that we would have to wait and people would go in front of us that came after, then we would have had her sit! Then you eat their decent food, that’s overly priced to go pay and if you use anything other than cash they charge 3.5% extra!!! What a rip off, our family hasn’t been to this place in years since my grandfather passed and we won’t be back. It’s not the same!"

"All you can eat catfish is a must! $19.99 a person is such a great deal. The fish is hot and crispy. The fish is fresh and seasoned. The waiter was did a decent job considering how busy they were. I wish there were more room between tables along the side. Our chairs were touching the chair behind us. Overall good food with good prices."

"This is a very popular local restaurant. I didn’t know that catfish is so delicious. Maybe because of the high flow of people, the ingredients are very fresh, and the service staff is very enthusiastic. The atmosphere is very good and it is suitable for the whole family."

"Jerry’s is a quintessential and superlative Mississippi catfish house. I have been eating here for over 30 years and little has changed — including some of the servers. The catfish filets are my go to — all you can eat, which yes is exactly that. They use Mississippi farm raised catfish, which is I’m opinion the gold standard of catfish. The filets are not thin nor overly plump. The breading is a fine cornmeal — and I suspect some small measure of flour. It is not as course as some breading, or “fry”. Speaking of fries — they are basic, but in the best sense. They hit home. Same for the hush puppies — nothing fancy, but homemade and good. One of the best Catfish houses in the South. And it is in a building that looks like an Igloo — how and why, but makes it even better!"

"I have to say this is some of the best catfish I have ever had! We stopped by on the way back to Indiana on a Sunday so it was pretty busy and expect a bit of a wait but well worth it to me. Servers were super nice and everything was amazing."
