About the Business

Avian Medical Center

The Avian Medical Center, located at 15952 Quarry Road in Lake Oswego, Oregon, is the premier veterinary clinic exclusively for birds in the state. Established in 1984, our experienced and well-trained staff are dedicated to providing exceptional care for birds of all kinds, from parrots to finches, chickens to geese. We strive to ensure that your feathered friend receives the best veterinary services to keep them healthy and happy.

Our clinic operates primarily by appointment, with emergency cases receiving top priority. We offer a range of services including routine appointments, boarding facilities, and specialized care for birds requiring water medication or complicated food preparations. Our boarding services provide a clean, friendly, and comfortable environment for your bird while you are away, with options for cage rentals and specialized care.

To ensure the health and safety of our patients, we require a health examination and fecal analysis to have been performed by Dr. Lintner within the last year for all boarding reservations. We are open for drop off and pick up times Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9am to 4pm, and Wednesdays from 9am to 2pm.

For any questions about bird health, nutrition, or veterinary care, please feel free to contact us at 503-635-5672. Our dedicated team is here to provide the best possible care for your feathered companions.

"Dr Lintner has treated my 25 year old African Grey since we moved to Oregon 17 years ago. Last week she gave her a thorough exam, nail & beak trim and fecal exam. She discussed everything with me and refilled the meds my bird needs for high blood pressure and seizures. I highly recommend for your birds health care."

"I never been to this vet in person but I felt very fortunate to know they are there in case I ever need their help. My chicken was suddenly sick and suffering and I didn’t have a vet, I called during lunch and someone very kindly called me back and was willing to take a look at my bird. Sadly I didn’t make it in because she died of ascites (water belly). I have them in my list of contacts in case I ever need them. Thanks you for your support in times of distress."

"This Vet is absolutely wonderful. Has some recent serious health jssues pop up with one of my ducks and they were able to get her in quick, figure out what what going on, and get her needs met very quickly. I'm happy to have her back now thanks to these wonderful people."

"Dr. Marli Lintner and her staff is outstanding. I will not take my flock anywhere else. I recently inherited a 3rd parrot with a plucking problem and she took the time to explain the causes behind plucking and we are working on a solution to help this sweet baby. I started bringing my girls to her 9 months ago when I got my first 2. She takes the time to answer any questions we might have and was very informative when I was a new bird owner. It is a little more expensive than a regular vet but she has the experience to justify it and she is the ONLY certified avian vet in the state of Oregon."
