Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Portland South/Lake Oswego

"Good hotel to be stranded at during a winter ice storm. Clean rooms. Breakfast. Always a pot of coffee and tea. Good location near major roads and food options with still quiet rooms."

"Apparently, there is no pool or hot tub. Had them both when I booked 2 rooms for girls get-a-way. Staff was friendly enough, but when I mentioned my frustration .... was basically brushed off. Rooms were OK (a little dated). Definitely would have stayed elsewhere if I had known that 2 major amenities weren't available. Just a disappointment."

"Marriott in Lake Oswego was our favorite Marriott in the area. Now we are not so sure. Our stay was very stressful. The Alarm system was broken. We were evacuated from our room 2 times in 24 hours, in the AM and then again at 4 AM. Guests left the building in pajamas. Safety is a concern, however, we knew that this was a false alarm the second time. Additionally, my wife is not happy with no makeup mirror on the wall in the bathroom. We stay at Marriott's all over the country, and a Make up mirror with magnification is mandatory as a bathroom supply. This must be an older Marriott as they do not have one in the bathroom. Take note ladies. There is no night light either. If you need to use the rest room in at night, watch out. This is another amenity not included as with other Marriott's. The night light is part of the Makeup Mirror attached to the wall. The blanket was dirty and the hotel needs to discard old, yellowed comforters and blankets and use only their newer supplies. We received one of the old comforters in our room which smelled like baby poop and yellowed....not pleasant. We received another one which was much cleaner. One a better note, the staff is wonderful. They are respectful and helpful. It is not their fault that these other areas need attention. I do hope the management takes note of these concerns."

"Great place to stay for easy access to Lake Oswego area. Quiet. Clean. Great hot breakfast. Indoor pool. Hotel store had the usual snacks and drinks. Friendly staff. Marriott App keyless entry worked flawlessly on both rooms all week. There are two detractors I’d mention, if they matter to you. First, the coffee was not good. I’m not one to complain about coffee, and never have at a hotel, but this wasn’t good coffee. I wonder if it’s even Marriott corporate approved? Second, the “room refresh” is every other day and does not make up the beds. All it does is deliver towels. We asked for it daily, but they kept coming every other day anyway. But, those are little things. Overall I’d stay there again any day."

"We stayed in 4 hotels on this trip, and this one was my favorite. It was the quietest. We were on the 3rd floor. It was also in a nice setting with trees around, but conveniently located. Staff was really nice, Alex was great when we arrived. I'd stay there again. We were there for three nights Also had a really neat tree printed window shade to allow for light and privacy."
