"Wow! Just looked up Sam's info to recommend him to a friend. I saw the negative reviews and was super surprised. He really helped me and my husband through a difficult time after our 2nd kid was born. I needed to be heard and my husband needed to be heard. Sam functioned as a translator till my husband and I were speaking the same language and held us both accountable. I think it really helped my husband that Sam is a guy.Therapy is hard but worth it. That was almost 6 years ago now, still together."

"I really wonder if the other reviewer has the wrong person. Our experience couldn't have been more different. Sam was fantastic, didn't take sides, and in 2 minutes figured out our actual issue that my husband and I couldn't figure out on our own. He was kind, patient, listened to both of us, and gave us some really concrete things to do. I've recommend Sam to many friends because we were so happy with him."
"He was super inappropriate (in my opinion) when I brought up having no sex drive, he says, what's the big deal just have lots of oral sex. ON OUR FIRST VISIT. So out of line!!!! Uh I don't want to because I just explained that I'm touched out and I don't have a sex drive. We had two 80 dollar sessions where we fought the entire session with no intervention... no effort to try and help us organize our thoughts or deal with our frustration. He literally told us couples counseling wasn't for us on two occasions. He told me I should be weaning my 8 month old already. He tried to advise me on vaccinations when he is not a medical doctor... and at the first mention of being unsure if I wanted to stay in the relationship he told us to go straight to court. When I said I just needed a little space he said couples who separate almost never stay together which really freaked my boyfriend out when all I wanted was some space. I truly believe I only got to that point of anger bc he instigated it! HORRIBLE GUY. We kept trying with him bc of the money and time invested. Also... who with a new baby, even has time for lots of oral sex?! Our relationship is definitely in a worse place since we saw him. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR RISK YOUR RELATIONSHIP."
