Desert Sage Manor is a non-profit affordable community for older adults aged 62 and above, located at 986 West Juniper Avenue in Hermiston, Oregon. Our facility opened in 1999 and offers a range of amenities for residents, including units equipped for those with mobility or hearing impairments. Each unit features a fully functional kitchen with a stove and fridge, as well as heating and air conditioning. Residents can enjoy the comfort of vinyl or tile flooring in the kitchen and bathroom, carpet in the living room, hall, and bedroom, and mini blinds for window coverings.
We provide non-coin operated laundry facilities exclusively for residents, as well as a community room where monthly events such as birthday parties, potluck suppers, and game nights are held. Additionally, we organize outings to local restaurants and support community initiatives such as donating toys to the Fire Department for the Christmas Express.
Desert Sage Manor is conveniently located near the Columbia River, offering fishing opportunities and wildlife viewing. Our residents are just five minutes away from downtown Hermiston, with easy access to shopping, medical services, restaurants, and churches. Rent at our subsidized property is based on 30% of adjusted income and includes water, sewer, garbage, and electricity. Cable TV is also provided in each unit, with the option to add additional channels for a fee.
We welcome small pets with a refundable deposit, and offer assistance in finding caregivers if needed. Transportation services are available for medical appointments, and residents can enjoy the companionship of their furry friends within our pet policy guidelines. Our community is committed to providing a safe and comfortable living environment for older adults, fostering a sense of belonging and support among residents.

"It's a assisted living facility, old but clean, with a limited access, must enter the building middle East side door. Once in you'll need to use a phone to have the person you've came to visit buzz you in, you will need to know thier room number. If you not sure there's instructions posted by the phone alternative ways to get this information, just be patient. I fine it better to make a appointment with the one you want see ahead of time. In that way you'll know their in, the room number that you need to call to have them help you gain access to this area."
