"We were told we could move in later than we had previously agreed because some medical issues came up. We were also told the owner of the property would take the property off the market so we could have the option to buy it- our rent was to be month to month. perfect scenario for new grads moving to the area for a new job offer. Two weeks after moving in we were told they were going to start showing the house to potential buyers. We still had unpacked boxes! The only way we could prevent this, Secure Property Management told us, is to make an offer on the house. The owner was upset we didn't move in when we originally said we would- which we were never told or we would have made arrangements to stick to the original date. So now we were being "punished". They knew we were in no position to buy at the time and needed time to build an income history- never the less, we were being forced into buying or have it sold out from under us. The property had many issues including some threats to health and safety. Secure Property was scared of contacting the owner and allowed the issues to continue for 7 months until we agreed to repair them ourselves. Then, they tried to make us feel guilty for making "concessions" and waiving "maintenance fees" for us. What? The whole experience was awful and I wouldn't recommend them. Bait and switch. This company has ties with the real estate company it shares a building with. They seem to be in business together and their best interest is at heart, not yours."
