"Very nice apartments in a good neighborhood. Verla is an amazing manager and always wants to help. Maintenance requests are taken seriously and resolved quickly. All of my neighbors are friendly and I really enjoy living here!"

"This is a Norris & Stevens managed property. I’ve lived at Kensington Square for about a year and a half, and I enjoy my apartment home. The kitchen is bigger than kitchens in other apartments I have rented. My neighbors are friendly and quiet with very rare exceptions. What I appreciate the most is the onsite manager, Verla. She promptly addresses questions or maintenance requests. Verla makes me feel like a valued resident. Kensington Square common areas are well groomed and kept clean, and Verla planted bright flowers by the office entrance. I think the grounds look nice. In my opinion, the greatest feature is that no smoking is allowed here. There’s a smoking area just off the parking lot. Sadly, annual leases are no longer offered. This means that the rent could go up more than once a year. It also means one can move out by giving a thirty-day notice without breaking a lease. I would prefer receiving a minor rent reduction by signing an annual lease agreement. That is the primary reason I’m not giving Kensington Square (Norris & Stevens) a five-star rating."

"I've lived here for over a year now and this place is very accommodating. Verla is on top of maintenance requests, and likes to get to know the residents so they can enjoy their time here. Pets are allowed, they have washer and dryer hookups, and rent is definitely on the affordable side."

"Rooms are spacious. Quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to park and mall. I have enjoyed living here so far. Upon moving in, I received a welcome mug full of small items like hot chocolate packets. Not being a Oregon native, this felt especially welcoming. My few minor issues have been addressed promptly and respectfully. My garbage disposal had a small leak one evening. Managment lives on site. It was fixed the next day with a note by the repairman stating the problem and that it was fixed. I notified the office of a wasp nest on my deck and they took care of it the next morning. Nothing but good vibes and neighborlyness buzzing around here so far!"

"Renter beware with this one... while Norris & Stevens is a reputable renter at other properties, this property is different. They will charge what seems like a steal to move in but will try to get a rather large deposit from you. They then kick you out before you have lived there for a year (no cause needed, it is in the forms). Why would they do such a thing? Well, if you manage to live there for over a year they can't get as much money from you because they can't charge you on move out. When you are forced out before the year is up, you will be forced to pay hundreds to repaint the walls (even though they look wonderful), hundreds to clean the carpet (Shampooing yourself doesn't count, it has to be done at your cost), and just about anything else they can find to charge you for they will. Expect random charges like "cleaning" to cost you hundreds extra (it doesn't even matter that in the final walkthrough if she says it looks great because the charges will come). Other things about this apartment... homeless people live behind it and eye you inside your house (so get a second floor if you must). The materials used in the apartment are super cheap and prone to breaking (which you will be charged for). On positive notes, the neighborhood is quiet, the rooms are large, and the location is good. Overall, this doesn't save it though and I would not recommend this apartment to anyone unless they have money to give away to crooks."
