Floras Lake Getaway

"My husband and I have now stayed at the Floras Lake Getaway on three separate trips and have always had a great time. This is one of the best places, if not the best place, for accessing all the water fun that Floras Lake has to offer. The guesthouse itself is well-suited to a couple or small family. The kitchen is nicely laid out and well-equipped. Christiane even added a few items at our request to increase the convenience further. We're excited that it seems like there are plans in the works to add a dishwasher, which would make it absolutely perfect. The dining area is cozy too -- my husband and I were just joking that we eat better at Floras Lake than we do at home! The private garden is beautiful and a great spot to relax. There are even blueberries, rosemary, and huckleberries to snack on, which is a nice bonus. One of the other reviews complained about a lack of window coverings. I can't comment on the situation before this year, but currently, all the windows either have curtains, immediately adjacent vegetation, or a wooden screen, such that the place feels very private, even though there are two other units on the same property."

"Love the giant picture window that frames a lovely view of the lake and shoreline. Newly remodeled and painted. Two comfy queen beds. Great service that brought us an electric hot plate, a pot and pan...as the kitchenette doesn’t have a stove top. Microwave and toaster oven worked great though."

"We had a great stay at Christiane's apartment. It was more lovely that the pictures showed! The view is terrific from the apartment window but what the pictures can't capture is how peaceful and beautiful everything is. We were awakened each morning by the sounds of nature then enjoyed coffee on the deck while observing the rhythms of the lake. Christiane is a great hostess and was very happy to answer questions and tell us more about the area. We will definitely be returning! Susan"

"We loved staying at this place!!! The view is beautiful and it truly felt like it was a home away from home. The lakefront was a perfect addition and we enjoyed canoeing and paddle boating, swimming in the lake, having barbecues on the deck, walking along the beach and watching the beautiful sun sets. Especially the Billard room and the whirlpool were a huge plus and made our stay even More enjoyable. The rooms are nicely furnished and offer a lot of space. Overall, the house was everything we were looking for and we would definitely recommend staying at this gorgeous Getaway!"

"We were supposed to get a view of the lake from the living room and this is what we got. They changed our reservation the day of and when we asked about a refund do to all of the changes and amenities that we didn't receive, they came to our door and told us we had 30 minutes to leave. Do not go through Evolve. Very unprofessional, Rude and disrespectful. False description when they changed our reservation. As you can see we didn't have the view as advertised. It was raining so sitting out in the rain to view the lake was awful. Plus they were working on their place and loud saw were going and hammering."
