Pacific City Vacation Rentals by Meredith Lodging

"The rental was great - Meredith Lodging was terrible. I needed to modify the rental, which is annoying - I know, but it was several months in advance. It cost significantly more to change then it would to pay the 30% cancellation fee and re-rent. That's crazy. I contacted them to try and see if there was a better way to work it out, but the customer service rep was not at all helpful."

"Worst vacation home we've ever stayed. They let us know 4 days before our check in date that the dishwasher & washing machine were not working. They offered no discount or the option of cancelling. We had 6 people and they left us with 6 towels for a week rental with no washing machine. They ignored our calls when we told them the shower wasn't working or the sauna. They house was dirty when we arrived & there was barely any cooking utensils or they were disgusting to use. Meredith lodging is a total scam of a rental company. They should be banned on VRBO."

"If you value your vacation plans steer clear of Meredith Lodging. They think nothing of cancelling your rental at the last minute and refuse to help you find other lodging. Absolute worst service we have ever received. Here is is a week later and I still can't get them to return my calls or emails regarding this concern. Not that it would make a difference, they simply don't care. Stay clear of them, they are slum lords."

"We stayed at the Casa Tierra del Mar property in Pacific City late June 2022. Upon arrival, the inside was not entirely clean. The outside was wrapped in cobwebs, and had food in the yard. Someone in the office was willing to send housekeeping over to “verify and rectify” the solution. I was not willing to do that as I am immunocompromised, and have several illnesses. If the house isn’t clean the first time, why would I want someone to come clean it again in my presence? No thanks Meredith Lodging. Extra pics to demonstrate it is correct property."
