"Dr. Clarke is a good doctor, but I am getting no response from his office or through the online portal after multiple attempts. I am currently on hold for 30+ minutes and left a message over a week ago without any follow up call. My next move is to actually go into the office and insist on getting some service. I'm debating whether to continue seeing a doctor whose office is so unresponsive."

"I've been seeing Dr Clarke at Hillsboro Endocrine for many years now and have been nothing but pleased with my visits. Besides maintaining my PCOS treatment he has also been very proactive about coordinating care with my pulmonary doctor when that office was slacking a bit and needed a kick in the pants."

"I really hate writing bad reviews but sometimes it is necessary. I scheduled an appointment 6 weeks ago and then the morning of the appointment I received a call saying the Dr was and wouldn't be in today. Don't get me wrong I totally understand that getting sick happens. However, when I couldn't reschedule for the next day they wanted to push my appointment out another month. Even after explaining to them I had already planned to have the afternoon off for my original appointment they told me that if I wanted another afternoon appointment it wouldn't be for another month. Unfortunately I have had several issues with Drs at Tuality hospital I will be doing my best to stay away from them in the future."

"My pcp thought that I had Adrenal Insufficiency and had to beg and plead Dr. Chu to see me. Because based on previous tests ran by my pcp (which were enough for him to be concerned), Dr. Chu was certain that I didn’t have any endocrine issues and thought that seeing me was a waste of his time. As it turned out, it was a waste of MY time (and was a serious risk to my health). When Dr. Chu finally saw me, he did not run any additional tests, yet was arrogant enough to tell me that I did not have adrenal insufficiency based on the fact that I didn’t have hyperpigmentation, and because steroids (hydrocortisone) did not make me feel tremendously better. Dr. Chu told me to stop taking hydrocortisone immediately- which I did. I could have had an adrenal crisis and died because of his negligence! Secondary Adrenal Insufficiency and Human Growth Hormone Deficiency are both endocrine disorders that are typically diagnosed by an endocrinologist. That is to say, an endocrinologist that is competent enough to know that Secondary Adrenal Insufficiency does not cause hyperpigmentation. And steroids do not improve symptoms of Human Growth Hormone Deficiency. I am thankful for my pcp who disregarded Dr. Chu’s arrogance and referred me to OHSU where I was given an Insulin Tolerance Test (widely regarded as the gold standard test for diagnosing AI and evaluating GHD in adults) and was immediately diagnosed and treated for secondary adrenal insufficiency and severe human growth hormone deficiency. My diagnosis of Hypopituitarism is rare, but it is not an unknown condition. Dr. Chu had the ability to diagnose me, but instead chose to disregard me and treat me as if I was a hypochondriac. If you have diabetes or any other previously diagnosed condition, then Dr. Chu might be a great option for you. However, if turning to Dr. Chu for answers due to symptoms of endocrine issues, please learn from my experience and go somewhere else."
