"All holes Between 220-400ft. Clear signs. Great views over the water. Good baskets. (Slightly faded signs, one hole not where it showed, and technically in the out-of-bounds area. Some homeless persons living in the parking lots have added trash around the outsides of the park. But overall, rather clean, very wide open, pretty short. Expect to walk 2.5 miles (4km) to play all 18 holes. There are a few benches amidst the course, primarily in the middle. (Sign on entrance says ‘Cascades’ Gateway)"

"It was a wonderful course several years ago. I came back hoping for a similar experience... I couldn't play several holes due to unsafe conditions from needles to campers. It is a literal humanitarian crisis and Salem officials are doing nothing."

"What a shame. I visited this course a couple years back with some coworkers and had a blast playing it. I recently moved to Salem and came back for a round only to find the course completely inundated with homeless people. I’m not trying to be harsh and have nothing against homeless folks, but they absolutely destroyed the course. It’s completely unsafe. You cannot park in the parking lot because it is overrun with tents and piles of humans feces. Oh and the needles... yeah there’s a ton of needles just laying around. It’s one thing if the homeless want to live at the park and respect it, but this is just downright dangerous and harmful to the community. I hope the city and police address this park and reclaim the grounds taxpayers have paid to enjoy."
