"Adore this place! Cute, clean, pet-friendly and comfy, this 40's style motor lodge has BBQs to use, DVDs to lend and its own beach access. We love leaving the window open and listening to the waves at night."

"I stayed at Tillicum Beach Motel during the power outage that impacted most of the Oregon coast this week. After the temperature in my home dropped to 40 degrees, I drove there to reserve a room for my family and dogs. I had to make the reservation online to get a reasonable rate, and immediately realized that in my panic due to the power outage, I reserved it for too many nights. I asked if any partial credit/refund was possible due to the nature of the situation. I was told the next day that there was nothing they could do since I booked through Expedia. Expedia was extremely helpful, explaining that the fee was collected by the motel so they had the ability to provide a refund or partial credit. They even called the motel on my behalf, but the manager (Chad) was unwilling to budge. I spoke to him myself and he refused to offer any adjustment. ***Be very cautious when booking at this motel.*** The name of the motel is not Deane's Oceanfront Lodge - it is Tillicum Beach Motel. There are many other local friendly establishments that I would recommend you spend your money at instead of this one."

"This was more like coming home than staying in a motel. Upon arrival the light was on, the TV on, the electric fireplace going, it was awesome.the room was extremely clean and such a welcoming atmosphere to the room. I am so looking forward to a return trip. The little kitchen was stocked with all kitchen needs except for the food. Pots and pans,cups,glasses,plates,silverware, salt and pepper, dish towel,soap. It was amazing!!"

"You have a lot of options when staying in this area, but we chose this location and we’re blown away! Located just north Yachats downtown area, it’s a quaint little spot. The gentleman at check-in was so kind. We were staying on Thanksgiving night and he was kind enough to give us a little upgrade so we could have an ocean view and 2 beds. The details were ADORABLE! The electric fireplace, the little kitchenette that has everything you need. Even towels folded into animals? So cute. In the lobby, they have coffee, fruit and breakfast, DVDs, and board games! As two women traveling, we felt very safe here!"

"This place is a GEM! I love finding little locally owned motels for trips, not just to save money, but also to meet interesting people and see interesting places. I’ve stayed at quite a few motels around the country and none of them were as nice as this one. I was honestly blown away by everything, including the service. Everyone was so nice. They give you a little dog bag and let you check out books or board games for your stay. The rooms are large for what you pay. None of this even compares to the incredible view right out back. This was our first time in Oregon, and the beach view didn’t disappoint. So nice to be able to walk right out the door to the beach that’s also dog friendly. Cute towns and beautiful sights nearby to explore. We will be back!"
