"Great older motel. Easy access to beach! Nicely stocked kitchen with all utensils, bowls, plates, cups, etc. Super clean full size stove and fridge. Wonderful gas fireplace. Bathroom is small but clean. Things to notice: we had to ask for extra towels even though they knew we were 3 in the room. They were delivered IMMEDIATLY!; hot water takes a long time in the bathroom and is not very hot; bedroom is cold in cool weather with the door closed cause there is no heat source; had to request extra blankets (also delivered immediatly); and the internet is spotty. All that said - the price is right. We will come again and will bring a mattress topper for the pull-out couch!"

"I have stayed at the main "Cannon Beach Hotel" before and loved it. This trip, I needed to bring my dog...so I stayed at their pet friendly McBee Cottages. I was super nervous after reading some of the other reviews...but I walked in and was like, "What are those people talking about?!?!" There's a queen bed that is super comfy. A sitting area with a gas fireplace/stove. The shower/bathroom is small, but not worthy of bad comments. There's a little kitchenette area with mini-fridge and microwave, Keurig, and toaster. I brought my dog and this place is super dog friendly! They had a basket with 2 bowls, poop bags and a bone, towel, blanket, and a sheet to cover the bed with if your pet wants to cuddle with you. Outside, there's a big grassy area with a fire pit and they have poop bags and a trash can out there as well. The location is great - they're under a 1/2 mile to the main downtown shopping area and beach access is literally a direct shot, about a block behind the property! I'd have given 5 stars, but my complaint is that there aren't spoons in my room (I'd brought cereal to snack on) and a coffee cup was dirty. That's kind of gross and made me suspicious of any of the dishes provided. There's only the little bathroom sink, so I'm wondering if the dishes are all just washed by prior guests in that?? Luckily they provide dish soap and towels...so I washed anything I used myself prior to using it."

"Most uncomfortable stay, the queen bed is way too small for me und my 12 year old kid. I don’t know how two adults can share that bed. The bathroom is tiny. The room is tiny. They don’t even clean on a daily basis. I didn’t want an air B&B or apt so there would be room cleaning on a daily basis. But they even dared to tell me that I would be charged extra if I didn’t wash the dishes and silverware. Give me a break. It was not in our contract when I booked. The only nice part is the outdoor garden seating area which however is mostly too wet to sit in most of the time as the weather in Cannon beach in the middle of summer is cloudy, wet and freezing cold. The town however is really quaint and full of flowers and good restaurants. Cannon beach is very beautiful when the weather is nice. But I think one night here is more than enough for a road trip."

"This is the worst accommodations I’ve ever had! My husband booked this for our anniversary and he kept telling me about the great place he found with an ocean front view. I was so disappointed and would give no stars if possible! Room is so small you can barely walk around the bed. Floor is dirty cement. No electrical outlets in bathroom and 1 in bedroom makes it difficult to charge phone devices. Walls are so thin we could hear the people talking in room next door and dog barking during the night. Parking is just outside the room so you also hear cars running and car doors shutting. NO amenities here: not even a coffee pot or coffee available. NO view of the ocean. The rate we paid for this room is double the price stated by the owner in response to another review."

"This was our first time staying here. It's the cutest little place within walking distance of the pacific! We were coming from Seattle and were going to be cutting it close to the front desk closing for check in, and employee offered to stay late to check us in, if need be. We made it on time, but such a nice offer! Pet friendly, very clean, and quiet considering how many other people were staying in rooms next to us. We absolutely will stay again!"
