"The most rude, unhelpful, unwilling admitting/financial staff I have ever worked with. Trying to get my sister into treatment and Monte Nido DEMANDED that she bring $6,700 (the remainder of her out of pocket max) in hand with her on her admission day. For a 22 year old with now no income, that is unrealistic and preventing her from entering treatment. Sister decided she would have to postpone treatment due to this, and rep from Monte Nido told her “well you might as well call your insurance company and tell them to not even bother with the prior authorization since you are giving up your bed.” Staff member tried to push her to go to the facility even still. Everyone I have spoken with on the phone is rude and pushy. Asked a representative at Monte Nido to reach out to my sisters insurance and was told, “yeah we will decide IF we want to do that or not.” Almost seems like they don’t care that people who are going to/trying to go to treatment are suffering and that this could potentially save their life. Monte Nido has been unwilling to offer an extended payment plan past 12 months (this would still be $560/mo), unwilling to accept a partial payment, and unwilling to even consider waiving the fee (considering they are for profit, I am sure they could use the tax break)."

"Very disorganized staffing I’ve seen. One and 1/2 dietician for over 15 clients. Most of time is spent with Resident Aides who have little certification to deal with two RA to about anywhere from 15-16 clients. Very little time actually spent with Certified Counselor and the Groups were basically playtime!"

"After working with my insurance and the Monte Nido and Afiliates for almost exactly one year I was told today I'm just not sick enough. I am 33 an I have struggled since the age 13 with 2 different types of ED. After being assured my case would be accepted and my treatment plans was right I was told I would not be accepted. I jumped through all of the hoops necessary. I have told not only one but 3 different intake specialists about the deepest darkest parts of my life and eating disorders all while being assured I would be accepted. I decided in September that life would not be something I can continue without treatment and I was assured that treatment is there and inpatient is what was best and now I am being told I am not sick enough. Upon Callously being told I would not be accepted I let my specialist know that I have also made a plan. She proceeded to call the police to do a welfare check, knowing full and well that they are the ones that are going to make this problem worse PLEASE BEWARE of these people before telling them anything or giving medical history. If you read the reviews you can see they have done this to other people."

"I initially reached out to Monte Nido for information regarding the services they offered and it took nearly 2 months of back and forth emails and phone calls to get an honest answer to my question. The ways that the admissions staff communicated with me made me feel really unsafe and harassed, they don't seem very trauma-informed and I had to ask multiple times for Monte Nido to stop contacting me as the ways they were communicating with me were really triggering for me. Please work on your communication, your patients deserve to be treated better than this."
