"Dear Talarico's Owner, this is the second time in a month that one of your employees purposefully overcharged me for produce (same person both times). I am a local business owner. I like supporting local businesses. This is unacceptable. PS- It's also kinda weird that you don't generate itemized receipts at the POS. My Response: I like your business and your employees, very nice good people. Here's what I know: 3 items (priced each, not per lb) at $2.75, $1.00, and $.89, doesn't = $6.24. It didn't add up the first time either. If it's a training issue, fix it, and we're good."

"The people are kind, the produce is flavorful and fresh, and there is very little plastic or waste. It’s very affordable, especially considering they don’t stock the grocery packaged item that are expensive. And it’s right next to grand central to get a loaf of bread. The best place to shop."

"Absolutely love this place! My go to spot for fruits and veggies. They do have some other items like dried fruit and nuts. Everything is super fresh and I found it to be much cheaper than grocery stores. One of the best places to buy your Halloween pumpkins as well. And at Christmas, they have a small selection of Christmas trees. There is small parking lot that sometimes fills up so street parking may be required."

"We have been going weekly for our stock up on fruit and vegetables since we found this place a few weeks ago. They are very well stocked and have an amazing variety of apples. We are hooked on the Melrose apple variety!"

"Talarico's has become our go-to destination for both day-to-day produce, and for stocking up on whatever is currently in season. Having a somewhat open air market nearby is one of those things that I find delightful when traveling in Europe, so having the same experience in my neighborhood always makes me happy to shop here. Their checkout line impulse purchases are Swedish dish sponges, which are loads of fun if you've never tried one. A combination of artful presentation and well designed lighting make it irresistible to pull out my phone, or sometimes go out of my way to bring my better camera, just to get pictures of what they have. There is better parking here than you'll find at most Hawthorne businesses. A parking lot out front is shared with the bakery next door. If you're driving westbound, a traffic island forces you to turn onto SE 22nd and enter the lot from the side."
