"Food was bland and service was terrible. Our server, Shelley, was DEFINITELY racist. She refused to acknowledge my Black fiance and would only speak to me. Fiance would say thank you and be ignored, I would say thank you, and would get a "You're welcome". She dropped off the check then went on a break, never coming back for my card. Saw her eating at the bar when I walked up to pay. Chicken fried steak was overcooked and unseasoned. Drowning in flavorless gravy. Mile high omelet had a ridiculous amount of cheese and the peppers and onions inside were barely cooked. Edited my post to correct myself because the owner is right. My language wasn't fitting."
"Really good food. Felt like the service was lack8ng attention. Ladies were nice, just not that attentive. Love the place and will still go back. Greatest country fried steak ever!"
"I think the kitchen closes at 9pm…. I was in town for the night working and got done around 8:40pm. Hours said open until 2am… I walked in, grabbed a seat at the bar, and was immediately greeted by the bar staff. I told her I was hungry and she said, “Ahhh I’ll ask if he’ll cook one more meal.” I hear her say, “He looks nice and said he was hungry…” He not only cooked me a meal, but made me the best club sandwich this side of the Mississippi accompanied by the crispiest fries I’ve ever had. Love this place. It’s quaint, yet historic, cozy, yet spacious, and relaxed, yet upholds it’s own standard of excellence."
"Tuna melt with soup, French dip, Reuben with fries were amazing and cheese curd appetizer was top notch..can't wait to visit again to see more of all the photos and such decorating the walls, server was polite and efficient and it was reasonably priced"
"If you're looking for a laid back nostalgic vibe the Rainbow Cafe is your spot!!! Greeted by local server named Zach, hands down knows the menu, serves a mean drink and is top notch in the service department! All with a smile... Hands down best home cooked meal in Pendleton! Check it out I promise you won't be disappointed!"
