"I tried to get a quick drink while I was waiting for food across the street. I had an hour to wait. I walked up to the bar, waited 15 minutes without a word from either bar tender. My friend asked for a Guinness when the bar tender was in earshot which drew a quick reply of "I wasn't asking for your order" and he walked away. He came back asked what we needed. Then told us he was out of Guinness and walked away again. Do not recommend. They serve underage minors here too."

"Honestly...I'm going to give the place 5 freaking stars. You know why? It's so hard to find great service, and amazing food these days. And their 7 devils beer is some of the best I have ever had!! The barlady/server (receipt says Crystal) was so sweet and accommodating the food was so fresh! Fresh fish, fresh homemade coleslaw....ev perfect!! I am impressed. If you're going here for a new hip vibe, wrong place! This place will propel you back to the 80's. Real hometown diner feel!!!"

"I never leave reviews, but I am choosing to do so after reading a very negative review while recommending this eatery to friends. I live over 7 hrs away in Eastern Oregon and whenever I hear of someone traveling to Coos Bay, I immediately talk about Coney Station. Up and down the coast, the best calamari anywhere. The fish and chips are awesome, and the oyster shooters were fantastic. I have yet to have a bad experience after 5 or 6 visits over the years. If you love fish and chips or calamari, Coney Station is a must stop. With that said, this is not a fine dining establishment. It's a bar with a back room if you have kids. But the food is worth the stop. Oh one last note, my food experience traverses many styles and all across the monetary spectrum. I know what good food is."
