"My friend and I ordered iced matcha lattes and the matcha was a brown, muddy color but even worse was the taste, it was so bland and tasted mostly like sweet milk. The employee didn’t even whisk it properly, it was grainy. We asked the employee to add more matcha to both our drinks and she gave us an attitude, and proceeded to drizzle in just a small tsp of matcha to both our cups. It was still so bad that I asked to change to an iced coffee with pumpkin spice syrup. My God, how do you mess that up? It was just a regular iced latte with NO flavor. I don’t understand how this place is even open and running."

"One of my favorite coffee places in the Portland area. All their locations have such a great ambience. Perfect to hangout, remote work and also to just take a break in the middle of the day and relax. The outdoor seating is nice and in the shade, super nice for summer time. I had the dark chocolate hot mocha and it was prepared very well"

"2/4/22 Update: Walked over to Ava’s today with my dog for a mid day break, and the first thing I noticed is that they have now put up tents over their outdoor seating so that it is covered and you can stay dry, even if it is raining. Nice touch guys! I really like this new feature as I’m not personal eating indoors anywhere yet at this point, so I normally can only come hang out at your coffee shop in the summertime. So very well done. I went inside and got a breve latte (pretty much my go to drink when I can’t decide what I want) which I must admit was ready much faster than usual, and then I just sat outside with my dog and relaxed for about a half hour. It was definitely chilly (heaters anyone?), but at least I didn’t have to worry about getting rained on. — This may not be the quickest place to get a cup of coffee, but fast doesn’t always equal great. And over the last few years, it has definitely become one of my haunts, especially in the summer since there is a ton of outdoor seating and it is walking distance from my house. I love taking my dog for a walk, then stopping in for an iced breve latte, and sitting out on their patio with a good book for a break in the middle of my work day. It’s one of my guilty pleasures."
