"R and l carriers have scheduled 2 deliveries for a shipment that had to be signed for to release package. I was to be at home between 4 and 7 to receive first shipment again mandatory sign to leave item. R and l stated 18 wheeler could not get to house. When delivery was scheduled I left note for driver to call if he felt he could not make it to house and I would drive to main road and pick up package, main road is 2 minutes away. Driver never called. R and L never called. I had to call and sort situation out. Rescheduled for the next Friday between 4 and 7 on smaller truck. No show, no call. I called at 4:30 and Shannon the outbound supervisor was less than apologetic. Stated”don’t you know there are freight delays”. I shared that this was not a freight delay. It was a management issue. This was scheduled by his team on 2 different days and they still hadn’t managed to get my item to me. He offered for me to come pick up item in Lafayette. 2 hours one way. Generous guy. Or I could wait until Monday again between 5 and 7 and he would have board to me or he “could return it and the retailer could re ship on another carrier-however this would take weeks”. They would not refund my shipping charges. Do not use r and l carriers. Poorly managed, unorganized, and unprofessional."
