"My son paid off a car (which he bought from a girl who still owed Koury's) at the LC location but then had to drive 1 1/2 hrs to leesville for the title. They gave him a title with Gene Koury named as the owner with no bill of sale & nothing signed or notarized. He's barely 18 and he doesn't know how things are done but Gene Koury SHOULD KNOW whats needed to transfer a title. He went to dmv then to a notary all for nothing. When I called to find out why they gave him a title he couldn't transfer the man was so disrespectful & basically told me i didn't know what I was talking about. The notary had to call him. So my son had to go back to leesville (1 &1/2 hrs) the next day for them to notarize it and get a bill of sale. But he still can't drive the car cuz no plate yet & dmv closed til monday and u'd think Koury's could've given him a temp plate after making him go to leesville 2 DAYS in a row. So now his new car is still sitting in Lake Charles w/no plate til Mon when he should have been driving it since Wednesday. They sure don't mind wasting other people's time.... avoid this place if possible"

"I cant say I had a bad experience. Most of the folks up there are very polite. They did help me get into a car with very little money down and credit that was still under repair. They also gave me a small amount of leeway when I was late on payments, but only when I called them well in advance and the leeway was very limited. Some of their policies didnt make much sense to me, so all I'll say is that if it isn't in writing, it's not binding. Overall, Id say they were decent folks to do business with, but I probably won't get another vehicle from them unless I have a serious need for transportation."
