"Cute spot. Gluten free tempura batter friend shrimp taco was very fresh light and tasty. I added the mango sauce from chips and all the better . I picked the hibiscus lemonade and added a shot of tequila . So tasty and refreshing . Small portions and good price . Not upscale but comfortable ."

"Dining at Espíritu was like going home for many reasons. The food is excellently prepared and the taco menu is extensive. They offer the right amount of appetizers, simple plates, taco options and dessert. Try their huitlacoche quesadillas, the pozole, their lamb mole, lengua tacos, and their flan. They transported me home to central Mexico. That house salsa they bottle might put Tapatio Hot Sauce out of business if it was put up for retail. I took a bottle home. Happy hour prices are great. Owners and service personnel are friendly and accommodating. Billie was thoughtful and helpful in his recommendations for a Mezcal/Tequila tasting. We appreciated his attention to our preferences and to our needs. Their Gin-der Euphoria is a great mixed lavender drink. I haven't had crickets in any Mexican restaurant in the states but their offering of Chapulines as palate cleansers was perfect. They are delicious. If you haven't tried their Mezcal, ask for recommendations. They'll take care of you. Their variety of small batch spirits is extensive. Espíritu is a special place."

"Came across this place after searching for gluten free options in NOLA. It was really good food, but I thought it was overpriced for the amount of food you get. You also have to pay for chips and salsa, which I found it bit annoying. But all in all, I didn't get sick and that's always a plus for my condition."
