"Delivered here at 8 am. A little tight to get into but the crew was all super nice and seemed like they took had their coffee this morning. They got straight to work getting me unloaded! Thanks guys great experience. Their really isn't overnight parking but a gentleman pulled up last night and said that normally the trucks park either in the lot in front of the docks or on the side of the street on what looked to me to be a perfectly placed and sized parking spot completely off the street."

"I bought a fridge from A-1 in Harvey. It was such a great experience. Charles was so nice and remembered me from our first call. I was able to purchase an in-stock fridge and set up the delivery for only 5 days later, and that's two weeks faster than other company I could find in the whole entire metro area. Then the delivery was just as fantastic!! Vernon and Willie went the extra mile to get this fridge in my house. Between a screen door, tight opening and narrow entry... they STILL managed to get it in and running no problem. Including removing doors and returning everything back to its original condition., Super nice guys... all three of them. this is my second time using A-1 and I have always been pleased with them and will continue to return. "A great job on a difficult, two-man job with a dated but modern washing machine. It was no mean feat replacing a rotten rubber bellows on a 2007 frontloader but these cats kept at it til a perfect change-out was done. The machine, clothes, and apartment are nice and fresh-smelling now and there's no leaking or any other defect in the fit. Few places wanted to deal with this so I'm doubly grateful for A-1 Appliance Repair!"

"I called because my ice maker quit working. Visit #1 Matt and Jose show up together. They open the door to the freezer, and declare that I need a new Ice Maker. ~$300. No diagnostic testing. Never removed the existing ice maker to test for power. Visit #2 Matt installs new ice maker. When it doesn't work, he tells me that once it comes down to temperature, it will begin making ice. Of Course, it never did. Visit #3 Matt returns. He calls Whirlpool central to get instructions on how to repair. They tell him to test the power to the ice maker. There is none. They tell him to test the circuit board. Matt is unable to locate the circuit board, even after pulling the fridge out of it's hole, and checking on the back. Whirlpool central loses patience with him and hangs up. Matt leaves, defeated. Visit #4 Jose returns. Turns out the circuit board is in the freezer, not behind it. After removing three phillips head screws, it's obvious that the board is toast. Jose tells me $200 for new board. I ask about the $340 I've already spent. He tells me to call the service manager, Bob. I ordered a new circuit board online for $38. Three phillip head screws, and my ice maker is working again. Bob talked to me once. After that he refused to take my calls. He was always in a meeting. Bob never returned my call as promised. I paid $340 for an ice maker I didn't need. I would NEVER use A-1 Appliance Repair again. They are not knowledgeable about their product. They do not 'stand behind' their work. They do not perform basic diagnostics before replacing parts. I would not recommend A-1 Appliance Repair. We did purchase all of our appliances from A-1 Appliance Sales. We were very pleased with that experience, and are happy with our appliances, overall."
