Felix's Restaurant & Oyster Bar

"We were seated properly and we continued to sit and sit for almost 10 minutes before my husband stopped a waiter who is waiting on all the tables around us. He was checking on all the table’s except us, which was odd considering he has to walk passed us several times to help the other customers. Not sure what was going on with that but a simple “We will be with you shortly “and at least some water would’ve been nice. And when our waiter finally showed up at our table, I was irritated and ready to leave which I should have. But the waiter was nice and apologized for the wait. The rest of the dinner went just OKAY. I would love to rave about Felix’s and talk about what a great experience we had but it wasn’t that great. With all of the restaurants and great food to choose from the little things like basic customer service goes a long way with me."

"The BEST charbroiled oysters I have had, however the plate and silverwares could be cleaned better... there is an outdoor seating part and an indoor part, we ate there twice because it was so good! The shrimp tacos are delish, the salads were delish, the food is good, but the environment could be cleaner."

"The server was very attentive. Once we got him to the table. there was a weight of about 5 minutes for him to get there. he quickly took our drink orders and then brought the food very fast. The turtle soup was very thick and needy. But I was very surprised they didn't offer me Sherri. after asking someone else. They reply that the waiter must have forgotten it.. My wife and I shared the stuffed red fish and it was excellent. The shrimp appetizer had very large shrimp, almost the size of prawns. The reason for marking the atmosphere down is that it is very loud in there. adding acoustic panels would help a lot. also, not seating 4 people next to a large party of 12 that are pretty loud when there are numerous other tables open much further away from them would be a really good idea."

"I used the local reviews to work out which Oyster bar I should check out and Felix was the one that stood out. They were able to seat me straight away and the server explained that different options of the oyster selections. I ended up having the char grilled and the oysters Rockefeller… both very tasty options. The oysters were a little small but the taste was fantastic. They also have a good selection of beers on tap and the staff are very friendly. For a first timer, I was happy with the choice of oyster places."
