"Big BBQ Fan from London here. Staff was absolutely wonderful, atmosphere feels like your with all your lads in a pub. Very wonderful. My issue is the food. I ordered the 3 meat 2 side option brisket, rib and pulled pork with baked beans and green beans. 1st and foremost did the chef run out of seasoning? Everything except the beans and pulled pork were completely bland, no flavor, no smokey taste, no juice.... just meat. Granted yes the total was $25, so I don't really have much that I can complain about, I got my money's worth. I'm full, but even the sweet tea had more flavor than the brisket. I'll stop by the restaurant again because american BBQ is all about improvements, but it won't be during this trip. I hope the owner/manager sees this and something can be done about it."

"If you looking for good traditional BBQ this is the place to go. If you looking for like you might find on one of them cooking shows well then this isn't the place. Brisket, ribs, and pulled pork were tender, juicy, and there was enough food to more than fill you up. Tried most of the sides, beans, coleslaw, and jambalaya were really good though the I prefer my potato salad lighter on the mustard and the potato's to be chunkier but it was still good as is. Definitely on my "Hell Yeah" list of place I'd recommend and go back to."

"Had this place on my list to try for a long time. Finally passing through Houma so I stopped by. I liked the atmosphere and the service was good. I had the two meat plate and tried the turkey and brisket. Also had Mac n cheese and potato salad. The Turkey had a nice Smokey flavor and was seasoned well. It wasn’t dry but wasn’t juicy either but it’s hard to get it perfect especially in a high volume business. The brisket wasn’t dry but it wasn’t seasoned either. No real bark and not Smokey at all. Bland really. Salt and pepper god a long way people! It’s a big piece of meat and you have to season it well. It also helps with the bark. Sadly disappointed in the brisket. The Mac n cheese was your typical Velveeta style, nothing special but it was pretty typical of a lot of these bbq joints. The potato salad wasn’t my favorite either, it had more pickled relish than I like. Strong on the pickled side for me. But I know some people love it that way. The quantity of food was what I hoped for. Overall it wasn’t horrible but not up to my standards when it comes to bbq joints. Also where are the burnt ends! None to be found here."

"In town for a week's training and was told by my co-worker I needed to try Big Mike's for some great BBQ. Needless to say, he was right. Got the 3 meat PitPlate with ribs, brisket, and chicken. The ribs were outstanding and by far the best choice! Brisket was very good, but I have to say my dad's is still the best! Chicken was great too but it was something about the flavor that I was unsure of. Jambalaya and baked beans for sides and they were both great! Hope to visit again sometime and try some other options!"
