"I ordered their gumbo for a change of pace. The gumbo was okay. It was kind of spicy and strangely the onion and bell pepper in it was in huge pieces? It came with potato salad which was also just okay. Way too many red pimento type pieces. The next time I go back I'll stick with barbecue."
"The staff were so friendly to us! I was half way done eating my food and wanted coffee. I asked the waitress if they had coffee and she brought it right over! Also Good bread!"
"Tried their sliced brisket sandwich when I say thin & dry. It's like they put the spoon in the barbecue sauce throw it back in the pot and whatever was left on the spoon added that to the bread, my sandwich is so dry"

"My husband picked up lunch for us and thought they were pleasant and seemed clean, however I am disappointed to say that the food was almost inedible. We wanted to like this place, but the mashed potatoes were old, the brisket was tough and soaked in sauce, and the green beans were straight out of a can with no seasoning. This was our first time trying it, and I am sad to say we won't be back. Other reviews are good, so maybe this is an off day for them."
