"I usually do a takeout order when I’m in the area because I absolutely love the stuffed crab. However, the last time I purchased my usual Steamboat Platter, I wasn’t pleased with the food; there was an excessive amount of salt. I live nearly an hour away from the restaurant, so I couldn’t ask for a replacement. At that time, I decided that I would not visit the restaurant again. However, I was in the area again recently and decided to give it another try. This time, I am absolutely convinced that I will not return. It seems as if they’ve started serving a different type of fish other than catfish in the Steamboat platter; I almost thought that parts of it were only slightly cooked but then I realized that it was not the same fish that I was used to being served. I was very disappointed because I ordered extra fish and couldn’t eat it. Also, everything other than the stuffed crab was extremely salty. At this point, I’ll have to satisfy my cravings elsewhere."
"What an amazing historic place with awesome food and staff. Us being ghost hunters, we felt right at home. The food was amazing!! One of the best bloody Marys I have ever had!"

"On our vacation we stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. It’s an authentic building that does not lack charm! Wait staff did an amazing job welcoming and serving their guests. Food was delicious and service was quick. It’s a great place to stop if you are traveling by as we did, or to frequent as the #1 restaurant in the area!"
