"I’ve waited too long for this post. I brought in my car for a fuel pump issue 2 years ago. They sat on my car for two months with nothing but runarounds. Had to pay $850. To get it out of there shop to only have to tow it to the dodge dealership to fix it in one day. This owner gave me tons of excuses and lies. On top of that they damaged some paint with scratches. I would love to sit with this guy one on one and let him get what he has coming."

"My 87 Ford truck had begun drifting while driving to the point I had concerns about maintaining control. The day prior to taking it to Nederland Garage, the brake pedal went to the floor and I had to pump the brakes to make it home. I called them the next day and asked if they could look at it that day and they said yes, they had time. I took it to them and asked them to check the brakes and the front end and steering mechanisms. I called at the end of the day and they had not looked at i. The clerk told me that they would look at it first thing in the morning. I called them in the early afternoon of the following day and was told that there is nothing wrong with the brakes and the only thing wrong with the steering was it needed some power steering fluid. Incredulously, I asked them have they actually driven it? I was assured that they had driven it and that there was nothing wrong with it other than power steering fluid. Although I'm not a certified mechanic, I didn't just start driving yesterday. I told them that I would come and pick up the vehicle and was told that I would be required to pay $62 for the diagnostic fee. When I picked it up I was assured once again that they had driven it and there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. I've got to tell you that the brake pedal was going to the floor and would not stop the vehicle unless they were pumped up in anticipation of the stop. Also, the steering was so loose that it was difficult to maintain the vehicle in one lane and you had to counter steer just to control it at all. I drove a short distance to another mechanic shop. After a brief inspection they told me that the steering gearbox was so loose that they wouldn't be able to align it. Additionally, while looking at the suspension, they noticed that the right front brake caliper had come off the disk So, I am having the brakes repaired and the steering box replaced. Nederland garage either lied to me about driving the vehicle and charged me $60 for doing nothing or they are completely incompetent mechanics and frankly, they are even incompetent drivers if they can't notice the looseness in the steering mechanisms and the inability of the brakes to stop the vehicle So, they are either liars or incompetent mechanics. Take your car someplace else."
