"Good food, good people, good prices. Definitely a gem in Shelby County."

"My 94 year old grandma and I visited on a whim a couple weeks ago and were very pleased with the food and service. Our waitress was incredibly sweet and patient, and grandma could not stop raving about the Eggplosion Burgers we ordered and the stawberry cheesecake we shared. Her only complaint was the lighting, as her vision is poor, but overall we both loved it and intend to visit again."

"My husband, David, and I ate a late lunch at TCS Bistro, on a rainy afternoon in April. I ordered cheese curds and marinara sauce, for the table. The cheese curds arrived hot, fresh and delicious but more akin to hand-breaded cheese sticks than cheese curds. Recommended for cheese lovers anyway, as they are outstanding and perfectly fried! The Red Gold Marinara Sauce is on the sweet side but good. I tried to order a French dip minus onions for my husband, and it was awkward. Our waitress was nice enough, but she said she'd have to charge extra for a roast beef sandwich with au jus, (which is simply a French dip minus the onions with Cheddar cheese instead of Swiss cheese) and didn't know the upcharge so she'd have to ask her manager. I ordered David the French dip minus onions, which is what he wanted originally. The roast beef wasn't the best - some gristle but not much gristle. David wouldn't order it again. He exchanged the bagged potato chips, at the table when his order was delivered, for a $1.50 upgrade to fries. We aren't normally "those" customers who exchange at the table, but the fries were definitely the side to order instead of the chips. The fries were yummy, hot and fresh! I ordered lunch chicken tenders with mashed potatoes and gravy and a side salad without onions with Champagne vinaigrette. The white gravy was delicious, as were the hand-breaded tenders and homemade mashed potatoes! The side salad was perfect - fresh crisp mixed greens, tiny tomatoes, crunchy croutons and a sprinkling of shredded cheese! The Champagne vinaigrette had a pleasant bite that wasn't sweet. The iced tea and Coke we ordered were both strong and refreshing. The single restroom was clean and stocked. Recommended, as one of the best restaurants in Center, Texas!"

"This is a strong choice if you are in Center, TX. Restaurant Choices here are extremely limited if you don’t want Mexican cuisine or fast food. First, the service here is top notch. Just what you expect when dining in a small town. Everyone is friendly and eager to chat or offer suggestions. I ordered the fried catfish plate (there is an AUCE option on Wednesday and Friday). And I ordered fried green tomatoes. Both were served too hot to eat when they arrived to my table. The green tomatoes were in a corn meal and were delicious. The catfish was also breaded and fried and is the best in Center. Period. The fried seafood here is the best in town. I’ve tried them all. There is a small bar and they’re are margarita specials and bottled beer selections also. The place was busy throughout the night with multiple tables seated and leaving while I was there. They offer some oyster dishes that are sourced fresh from the gulf. They were out of oysters when I was there, but will try them again when they get another delivery due to the excellent catfish and tomato dishes."
