"My favorite little retreat near Sequim in the peninsula. It's not a park with amenities, but it has a feeling of privacy on the beach, away from the crowds. It makes for great nature and boat watching. Bald eagles will fly over your head, and the waves will lull you into relaxation. The beach expance is quite wide for walking dogs when the tide is lower, and there is a lovely bench for sitting above the beach with a great view of Victoria, BC. I highly recommend this private little beach for enjoying nature."

"Small park on the beach with stairs heading down to beach level. The beach is mostly a rocky stretch of narrow beach with many larger round stones and cobbles to walk over avoid by walking at the waterline. Beware of wildlife on the beach, we saw a small pack of wolves or coyotes cornering a deer that appeared injured, all walked away when we approached within a 100 yards or so."

"On the Sunday before Memorial Day, walked from the park to Klapot Point along the south side of Travis Spit, went around the point, and then walked back on the north side of the spit. There was a very low tide and the beach was extensive, usually not the case here when the tides are normal. For a holiday weekend, it was very quiet and we only passed a handful of people on the 3.9 mile loop. What an awesome casual walk with plenty to see. Watch the tides if you decide to make this trek, they can come in and trap you against the cliffs at high tide."

"We visited during a minus 2 foot tide so the tide flats were exposed. There were clam necks showing in many places but the rocky beach made for tough digging. We enjoyed a three mile walk out toward thre spit and back. The first quarter mile was slow because of the rocky beach but after that the walking became easier. It was a Tuesday and we didn't see anyone else during our walk. A lovely place to commune with nature."
