"Vets and vet techs are pretty much wonderful people. I've seen great vets over the years in Hood River and White Salmon. Alpine is where I've settled in. They've been taking care of my dogs, cats, and donkeys for quite a few years now. Always efficient, competent, caring, and friendly through routine care and illnesses. My critters like them too."

"Excessive charges and poor communication. I brought in my cats to have their ears checked for infection. They only examined one cat I had to call back to clarify. They charged for 2 ear exams ($107) and additionally for a complete exam of both ($200) They charged an urgent care fee ($70) for a situation that wasn't urgent, I could have waited a couple days for an appointment. I was right about the ear infection there were no other issues. They sold me 5 ml Ofloxacin Otic($80). Later I found a 10ml bottle available on chewy .com for only $14. My bill was $335 more than was necessary to deal with the issue. I asked to have the $70 urgent care fee removed from my bill but they refused. If I could have purchased the ear drops without a prescription I could have dealt with the whole issue for $14. My final cost was $450. Apparently inflating the bill is their standard practice."

"If I could leave ZERO stars, I would. As new clients, we INTERACTED with 3 staff, but they all failed to introduce themselves. I didn't know the vet's name until he called later with test results. They didn't even know if they had a dremel tool for nail trims & the dr & assistant could barely get my dog SAFELY onto the exam table, as it wasn't secured to the wall. The coup de grâce: I was basically scoffed at when I asked for a heartworm test since "that's not a problem in our area" only for my pet to pop positive!!! The gross negligence to educate themselves in their own field & the inability to recommend lifesaving treatment without going to the Internet was incredibly disappointing, (especially for a client who had knowledge on the topics). AND when the dr called back regarding the treatment plan he had figured out, he had no approximate costs calculated. I can understand an older facility in a small town not having state of the art equipment, but make up for it with education & customer service!"

"You will not find a more compassionate person to care for your loved one than Dr. Zach. He helped my girl cross the rainbow bridge with so much love and peace. He doesn't just care for your pets, but the whole family. I will always call Dr. Zach my family vet and friend to any future furry family members I have."

"Above and beyond care, with fair prices. Our dog suffered a broken leg and after many weeks of treatment with the staff at Alpine vet he is on the road to a full recovery. Their flexibility and accommodation of our emergency and ongoing needs were unparalleled, and although we expected to spend a fortune the pricing here was incredibly reasonable - quite a bit less than anticipated. Best of all, the doctors and vet techs were top notch and took great care of our boy. We will forever be grateful!"
