"My family has been taking our pets to Tucker Road Animal Hospital through many different ownerships and veterinarians since the 1960s. After I moved from Hood River I continued to bring my pets here if they needed vet care while visiting my family. Prior to moving back to Hood River a year ago I thoroughly researched all veterinarians in the area and determined that Tucker Road was my top choice for my cats to receive care at. I have been extremely satisfied with the care received from the veterinarians and techs and would rate them 5 stars. But, I have experienced several problems with the receptionists at the front desk so I cannot give an overall rating of 5 stars. The 1st problem was when I had an emergency with one of my cats and called to see if I could have her seen immediately. The receptionist told me that there were no appointments the rest of the day and I would have to take my cat to an emergency vet in Portland. When I asked for the name of a vet in Portland the receptionist told me she didn’t know and I would have to find it myself. 2nd problem, I needed records for one of my cats emailed to me. I called twice, was told by the receptionists they would immediately email them to me, but I never received them. 3rd problem, the receptionists do not document correct information about my pets when calling to make an appointment. One last thing. I have always received follow-up calls from a vet or tech to see how my cats are doing a few days after appointments at other vets I have taken my cats to. Even for just an appointment for vaccinations. I have always found these calls very helpful. They do not do this at Tucker Road."
