"Ryan is the kind of lawyer that gives lawyers a bad name. I paid him $600 to review a case. While I appreciate his honesty and integrity in not taking the case, I felt like the amount of work he put into the review was not any where near worth $600. Ryan and his staff did a good job gathering the background from the court records. Ryan also spent about 20 minutes with the defendant, His conclusion was that the judge in the case didn’t like him and he felt that the he would not be helpful in the defense because the judge didn’t like him. That could have been determined by reviewing the docket before even meeting with the defendant. When I challenged him on his billings he said that his billing rate is %500 an hour. So, for the $600 I got a 20-minute meeting with the defendant and a review of public records. There were numerous things that could have been done to help the defendant including deferring the case, a review of the evidence and possible plea bargains. Ryan was not interested and just took the $600. To be fair, I signed an agreement from him to review the case for $600 but the amount of effort he put into it was not worth it. Be very careful in dealing with this guy……"
