Seattle Yellow Cab

"Driver never showed up to the correct location. I called the support line that was supposed to redirect the driver, but the cab never came. I was charged for a ride that never happened. The Yellow Cab support team acknowledge that the ride did not occur but they will not process the refund."

"Dispatch was a challenge to communicate with. We were notified our driver had arrived when they had not. Another car was sent who thankfully communicated with us directly and got us to our destination quickly."

"I called an hour in advance and still got stood up 4 times by the taxi and I was over an hour late for work. I’m not sure what the issue was, I’ve never had such a hard time with taxis until being in Seattle. It’s probably not their fault because of Uber and Lyft dominating things here in Seattle. But it was pretty serious being late to work 3 days in a row, and I called 4 times gave them my pickup address four times, they lied said the taxi was trying to call me saying he arrived but I was looking out the window the whole time. The taxi that finally arrived got sent to the AIRPORT when I repeated my pickup address four times. And somehow I got a call from the driver at the airport when I specifically gave a different address. They’re patient and kind it seems but definitely could’ve costed me my job when they could’ve just communicated."

"We’re from out of town and I needed to get my daughter and myself back to our air b&b after she had surgery. After a few failed attempts on the automated system, I finally got ahold of a human dispatcher to talk to and arranged for our ride. I was told I’d hear from the driver when he headed our way. Immediately after I hung up, I received a call saying the driver was outside waiting and a text saying he was on the way. The link provided to track progress didn’t work. After 30-40 minutes I called back, finally got an human and expressed my displeasure. She was polite. 15 minutes later, a driver showed up. He was fine. The ride was fine but I will never use this company again."

"I prefer taking taxis over ride share apps because they are regulated and professional, and we had really good experiences with Seattle Yellow Cab. The automated call system was pretty efficient when scheduling a ride. Each driver was courteous and helped me with my walker. We called several times while in Seattle, and the service was always fast. Traffic was crazy, but each driver showed good maneuvering skills. The prices were reasonable, and I tipped every driver pretty well because I appreciated them. Thank you for making our trip so hassle-free! UPDATE: So, our final ride with Yellow Cab was to the airport and was rather harrowing. The driver drove recklessly, often speeding (up to 88 mph), rode the brakes, tailgating other drivers, and the fluctuations in speed resulted in a very jerky ride which was hard on my disability. His cab was so filthy that I didn't want to touch anything. His check engine light was on, his wiper blades were shredded, the upholstery was badly ripped, and the seat belts in the back seat had been intentionally removed. He did not display his name or license either. Additionally, he overcharged us. Rides to the airport are $40.00, and we were charged almost $47. Maybe it was tax... I'm not sure as we were not offered a receipt. I took the extra out of his tip because he basically dumped us out on the curb. But one bad apple doesn't diminish the other drivers who were professional and courteous."
