"I have been a patient here for years. 2023 saw my previous doc depart, and then a series of absolute idiots take over my care. Currently, Summer is supposedly helping me (not an idiot), and she is nice, but instead of focusing on my life threatening condition that she has still YET TO diagnose after nearly three months, the clinic is more interested in getting me to see their counselor, and get my eyes checked, and other BILLABLE HOURS. This clinic does not care about the individual. Only what they can drain from the individual's insurance. I have been in the ER while waiting for the ineptitude at Pearl Health Center to solve itself, and have also fallen three times, once breaking my thumb. All of this could have been settled in two weeks. Going on three months now. It took threat of malpractice to get them to forward my ffffing orders for heart testing that had been sitting with their nurse for WEEKS, and this is AFTER I called already about it last week. Niceness means little when the Health Care is so massively lacking- And I wish I could reply to Jordan Jackl- HOW DARE YOU TELL OTHERS TO IGNORE MYSELF, AND THE MANY OTHERS THAT ARE UPSET WITH THIS DIVE CLINIC You are absolutely out of line, and your assumptions are a VILE insult. The blistering lack of integrity in this clinic posted, self promoting trash is the final straw for me. You claim to be on OHP, and seeing that doctor? LIAR. You only get a nurse practitioner with OHP"

"Please don’t pay attention to the negative reviews, I can only surmise that they are left by patients who are upset that decisions they made caused a negative outcome in their life and are blaming the practice. With OHP, patients are pretty limited on options for primary care and this is, by far, the best clinic I’ve found who accepts state insurance. Since my initial visit, Dr. Taxman has been incredibly kind, supportive and thorough. He’s always listened to my concerns, and made decisions with my input for an optimal outcome. Yes, the clinic is busy, and appointments can be a few weeks to a month out, but each provider has a walk-in ambulatory clinic one day a week you can always be seen without an appointment. On the rare occasion I’ve missed an appointment, and need medication until then, they’ve provided a “bridge” to that date or have overbooked me. Every clinic has its downfall, and my main complaint is that I have to have a separate appointment for different issues. If I’m there for medication refills and I have another issue, I’m forced to make a separate appointment to look into that. Everything else is pretty straightforward. I know I need to be seen monthly for some meds, every 3 months for others, and if I can’t make it and need a refill, I need to call before noon if I want a response that day. Again, pretty straightforward. If you can follow simple instructions, and make your appointment obligations, this clinic should definitely be at the top of your list. I’ve always felt like they take their time, ask if you have concerns, and want to be an active participant in your health. Bottom line, read the reviews, read between the lines, and discard the reviews from patients who are blaming the clinic for their own failures. Then look at the reviews from long time patients and you’ll get an accurate depiction. I’ll continue to be a patient here as long as Dr. Taxman is around, and I still reside locally. They honestly deserve much more credit and a higher rating!"

"This clinic has failed me. At first the care was good, the doctors are great, very kind and helpful and really helped me meet my goals. However, for some unknown reason my provider decided I needed to see them again before they would renew my prescription. I've been taking these prescriptions for years, they're working for me and have made my life liveable, there's no reason I should have to check in before having them prescribed again. I was not made aware of the need for an appointment until I was out of medication. Of course, at this point they're booked out until a month from now. I've been on the phone with them every day for a week. No one has called me back and nothing has been done to help me. I'm now dealing with insomnia without any medication, and I'M BEING COMPLETELY IGNORED. This is absolutely unacceptable and I'm going to have to switch to another clinic. I'm so angry and I feel powerless. This clinic is playing games with my mental health."

"I would give Pearl Health Center 100 stars if I could. I am truly shocked by the negative reviews. I've been a patient at PHC for 8 years now - my physical and mental health have improved dramatically. For the first time in my life, I actually look forward to going to a health clinic! Dr. Taxman and Dr. Del-Olmo are the best doctors I have ever encountered in my life. These are doctors who will truly listen when you speak and they will do their very best to help you. Doctors are very busy, of course, but I have never felt rushed. I frequently need blood draws and have never had a bad experience with that; the blood draws are very quick and painless. Reception is friendly and courteous. I always feel good when I leave an appointment; Dr. Taxman is especially inspiring. He has motivated me to exercise every day and take good care of myself. The people who work here really care! Don't listen to the naysayers!"
