"The extra star is for the site manager Jordan and Jordan ONLY. The house is gorgeous and was the perfect setting for our wedding. However, Vicki the owner was a NIGHTMARE to get a hold of. At one point, she put the Whitman up for sale right before our wedding and didn’t tell us. We were freaking out whether our wedding would happen or not. She didn’t answer any calls or emails until I contacted Jordan. After she got our money, we only heard from her once more (the time she put it up for sale situation mentioned above). In the end it worked out and was a dream wedding but they need new management if they want to stay in business. No communication at all."

"Really wanted to host an event at this venue but after a week and a half trying to get a hold of anyone via text, Facebook, email, everywhere... It's completely radio silence. The last straw was when I called the number listed both on their website and Google and a kid answered the line and yelled to stop calling - I triple checked that I didn't miss dial and it was the correct number.... Only posting this as a heads up for anyone else also trying to reach them and having no luck."

"This venue was absolutely beautiful and perfect! The on site property manager was incredible and was willing to help us with whatever. However, the owner, Vicki, was a nightmare to get in touch with. She does not reply and did not relay any information to the property manager. Planning an out of town wedding without getting to visit is stressful enough, but she did not help. This venue was perfect for our small wedding, but definitely take her non-responsiveness into consideration. At one point, I wasn’t even sure if the wedding was still happening because I couldn’t get in touch with her for months. But, in the end, everything turned out fantastic. Big shout out to Jordan, the property manager!"

"I spoke to a lady with Whitman who said she would email me within 2 days specific quotes/estimates to host a wedding and reception. After multiple attempts of calling her back at least 3 times she didn’t answer. I called from a different number and she answered a week later and said she was still planning on emailing me. 3 days later… nothing. I then emailed her and no response. Very unprofessional. Since then I’ve reached out to 2 other wedding venues in savannah and both of them sent me the information I need within one day!!! Not sure why the Whitman chose to ignore me/who they choose to ignore but bad business nonetheless"

"We loved every minute of our wedding weekend at The Whitman!! The wedding turned exactly how we wanted it. The ceremony was across the street in the park and the reception was in the courtyard!! Everything from the Whitman staff to the stay was perfect! It was a lot of fun having both my family (bride) and the grooms family staying in the house. We were sad to hear that Bob left the Whitman right before our wedding but we were thankful to have Stephen to help make our wedding go smoothly! Plus they let us bring our own tables and arbor that we built! Highly recommend!!"
