"I’ve worked with Leanne for over a year now. I followed her from Western Psych even though it meant paying out of pocket because my insurance sucks; but she’s worth it. The work that we’ve done over the last year has, literally, saved my life. EMDR has been amazing and has helped reframe my history of trauma so that I stopped thinking about it all the time. Ive tried therapy many times throughout my life and never stuck with it. I felt uncomfortable, like what am I supposed to say? Do I just sit here and cry? EMDR is perfect because there is an action and an intended outcome. Now we do EMDR at some visits and sometimes we just chat because I’ve built this relationship with Leanne that I’m now comfortable sharing things with her. I truly believe that finding the therapist you can be comfortable with is key as well as having the EMDR training (if that’s what you need). I don’t even want to think about where I’d be if I hadn’t found Leanne."
