Anchor Within Counseling

"I have been a client with Anchor within Counseling for almost two years now and have experienced tremendous growth, although I still have more to work on, I am grateful for the therapy I have received so far. I have had bad experiences with therapists that kept me away from therapy for years until I was able to find this clinic. I started my sessions with Jordan and transferred to Florence a few months later. Florence has supported me without judgement throughout my care, she has met me where I am at during each session without forcing things. I feel comfortable and safe being able to be vulnerable and share things. She provides "homework" to continue the work at home that has supported me in processing things I've dealt with and gaining new perspectives. Because of being at Anchor within Counseling, I am now on track for graduating with my bachelor's degree at the end of this year! I have been in and out of college for over 10 years and would have to drop out during terms due to my mental health. The fact that I have been back in school for over a year now, haven't missed a term, and getting good grades shows me how far I have come in terms of my mental health. I am so beyond grateful for Florence and the team at Anchor within Counseling. I've grown more as a person, learning more of myself as a woman, and improved as a mom to connect better with my kids. I don't know how much longer I may be in therapy, but I am patient with the time and trusting that I am receiving the care that I need. Thank you so much."

"I would give zero stars if I could. They do not check your insurance before each appointment like most mental health providers. They lied about trying to setup a payment plan. They did not reach out to set it up. They also billed for an appointment that was canceled and never gone too. They take days to get back to you. You can leave a voicemail with them requesting a call back to maybe receive an email. Steer clear of this place. I do not recommend. Added no threats were ever made. Yes there was cursing and I apologize. The way you choose to run your practice has caused so much stress for one of your mental health patients. She has now found a way better therapist, that has assured her that they check insurance at every visit to ensure they do not send any surprise bills. You would think this would be a standard practice with a mental health facility. Everyone knows how expensive everything is now. So glad that we have found a great therapist that truly cares about the patient and not just the money."

She took the time to establish a rapport and truly get to know and understand me. She offers great advisement, insight and develops goals that are beneficial and in my best interest.
